Heidrea for Heroes, Inc. is proud to offer our 3rd annual Veteran Legacy Scholarship program.
Our organization recognizes the value of all that veterans have done for our country and we strive each day to give back to those who have given so much. This scholarship was created to help a veteran family who has a graduating high school senior that would benefit from a helping hand.  Each year, we award a minimum of two $500 scholarships to deserving students. 

Eligibility Criteria:
-Student must be a son/daughter of a veteran, or currently enrolled in Junior ROTC.
-Student must be a senior in high school.
-Student must have maintained between a 2.5 & 4.0 GPA throughout his/her final two years of high school.
-Student is planning to enroll full-time in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited higher education institution, or an advanced vocational/technical school (i.e. culinary school), in the Fall directly after graduating from high school.
-Student must live in one of the following counties: Barnstable, Bristol, Norfolk, or Plymouth. Students from select towns in eastern Worcester County are also eligible to apply; please call for a list.

Complete applications include:
-Scholarship (hard-copy or online) application form
-A copy of parent’s DD214 with an honorable discharge listed – N/A if in Junior ROTC (need documentation of being in the Junior ROTC).
Two recommendation letters: one from someone in a leadership role in your life (i.e. a coach, employer, or mentor) & one from a teacher.
-Proof of current GPA standing/transcript.
